Tipping (Gratuities) in Canada
Although tipping is not mandatory, it is a customary practice in North America and represents an important part of remuneration within service trades. Tips reflect your satisfaction about the services received throughout your stay. While gratuities are at the discretion of each passenger below are customary guidelines for providing gratuities:
Visa requirement for Canada
Please note that Canada has an electronic travel authorization (ETA), which requires all international visitors to register online before traveling to Canada. This registration procedure assists travelers in processing required documents while determining their eligibility to travel to international destinations. Registration for the ETA program is now mandatory for all international travelers wishing to travel to Canada. For further information, we invite you to visit the Government of Canada’s official website: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/eta.asp
Bedding
Please note most bedding in Canada is based on twin (two beds). Double (one large bed) can be requested however it is subject to hotel room availability.
Transfers
Group tour airport transfers are included providing you are arriving on the first and last day of tour.
Baggage
Each person is entitled to a strict maximum of one bag not exceeding 20kg on tour, superseding any other baggage allowance. One of the reasons is due to coach requirements and limitation. Checked in baggage for the VIA Rail must be checked-in at least 45min prior to departure at the terminal. There are limited storage options on VIA Rail, therefore please keep carry-on light, with only necessities for 3 nights on the train..
Toronto 4*– Holiday Inn Toronto Downtown or similar
Hinton 3*– Coast Hotel Hinton or similar
Banff 3.5*– Banff Caribou Lodge or similar
